Psp Progressive Scan
Trying to connect PSP through DVD recorder.. Anyone know what’s wrong here?
I have a PSP TV OUT with component output. (red, blue, green, red, white)
My DVD recorder has component input & output. & a progressive scan setting.
I plugged my TV out into the input with all the correct colors. And my component cable from the component out to the TV, all correct colors.
When the PSP is set to “Interlace” I can see the picture fine. However it needs to be on “Progressive scan” to play games. And heres the delema.
In my home screen before the game it appears as 2 screens instead of 1, and it’s disrupted & Blue. When in the game the image quality is normal however the screen is split in 2. 2 crushed screens on the left and right side. Does anyone know what to do to make the screen whole? I tried switching the DVDR to “Progressive Scan” as well but it didn’t effect anything. Plugging directly into the TV works fine for the TV out. But I want to be perminently plugged. Also I wanna record game-play videos.
Thanks for the help in advance. ~Millgiass
Although i cannot assure you that i know the problem, but getting a distorted screen after running through a recording device is very common when there is copy protection on the game. If you ran it directly through the tv, and you had no problems, that would strengthen the copy protection point. Ive never heard of a dvdr that had a built in copy protection ‘remover’ (thats probably not the right word, but you get the idea). Check your settings to see if it is an option.
if not, then you can still record them by getting a copy protection ‘remover’ box that would be run from the psp to the dvdr. Its been 12 years since i looked at the prices, but i think they were around $100 then, so probably under $20 now.
www.mcmelectronics.com would be a great place to start looking for a cheap one
