PSP 1000. Someone help. This technology is mind boggling. NEWBIE. GAMES & Files??? Unlock?
My 7 year old has a PSP 1003.
I have been looking for ways to unlock this.
Firstly I’m a little confused about ‘firmware’. Which firmware unlocks the thing so he can play any game?
Secondly where do i get that firmware from?
Thirdly how do I use it to unlock the PSP?
I cant trust these back alley shop people so I need serious help.
Fourthly how will i know once it is unlocked?? this is the main question. I dont understand how I will find that out.
Fifthly what is UDM files, ISO files, etc…?

1) You will need custom firmware to play downloaded games.
2) http://www.psp-hacks.com/
3) You will need Pandora Battery and Magic Memorystick.
4) On the PSP. Settings–>System Settings–> System Information.
Where System Software is, it should have numbers. The psp is custom firmware if it contains letters.
5) It’s UMD. Umd is the disc that you buy and ISO is the file type of the games.
