Sony Psp Wireless Connection
I cat access my WPA-PSK inetrnet connection on my laptop?
I have a sony PCG-GRX616SP running on windows xp service pack 2 with a sony PCWA-C150S (802.11b) wireless networking card in the PCI card slot to access wireless networks.
I cannot, however acces my WPA-PSK wireless lan network, even though it works fine with my psp, and my wireless router (NETGEAR DG834G v3) works fine using this encryption.
I’ve seen lots of people using WPA-PSK on their laptops fine with windows xp sp2, and i dont wanna use WEP because i keep on getting viruses a lot on that mode, as well a other people using my internet connection without asking. Please can somebody tell me how to do it?
The Sony PCWA-C150S card is an older wireless card that probably does not have support for WPA. Unless some of the windows updates add support for WPA on the driver for that card.
Go to windows update and look at all the non critical updates you can download (Custom vs express) pull down any updates shown for your card, and for XP that show up.
You may need to replace the card with something newer…that supports G
