Remove Faceplate Psp
How do i take off my psp faceplate and lcd screen?
Can anyone give me a guide how to remove my psp faceplate and the lcd screen. What screwdriver will work the best? Will a phillips tip 00 be good. If not can anyone give me a link in amazon.co.uk to a good screwdriver wich can open the psp with ease.
You need to get a small, precision tool set there not that expensive..

Ok, first thing, If you open your psp you will VOID your warranty
and if your psp breaks or stops working, you cannot send it to sony
because they will just send it back, unrepaired.Also, i am not responsible for any damage you may cause to your psp.this guide is not intended to damage your psp.
Now that i have explained all that mess,here is the guide
I recommend that you keep your battery out of the psp when you are taking it apart because this will prevent any electric currents flowing through the psp

to remove the faceplate, open your battery cover..
For psp 1000 or fat users, in the upper righthand corner,
there is a screw remove that
then in the lower right hand corner, this is where you will have to remove the warranty sticker and your warranty will be VOIDED!
Remove the warranty sticker and in the lower righthand corner there is a screw remove that.
Now, on the bottom center of your psp there is also a screw remove that
Ok,we’re halfway done with the faceplate Now close up the battery cover and save your screws
On the right hand side on the back of the psp, there are two holes
those are the last two screws remove those.
Now, Look at the front of your psp, and CAREFULLY remove the faceplate.
We’re done with the faceplate

FOr the lcd screen, once you have removed the faceplate,
With a small flat head screwdriver,CAREFULLY AND GENTLY
PRY THE SIDES OF THE LCD SCREEN.
now you will see the two cables that connect the lcd screen to the motherboard
BE VERY CAREFUL BECAUSE IF YOU MESS UP IN THIS STEP,
YOU CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR PSP!!!!
to remove the left cable,CAREFULLY LIFT UP THE CLASP THAT HOLDS THE CABLE IN WITH YOUR NAILS OR A SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER.BUT REMOVE THE CLASP BY LIFTING THE CLASP ON THE UPPER SIDE OF THE CLASP!!!!
to remove the right cable,CAREFULLY LIFT UP THE CLASP THAT HOLDS THE CABLE IN WITH YOUR NAILS OR A SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER.BUT REMOVE THE CLASP BY LIFTING THE CLASP ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE CLASP!!!!
