Help Playing downloaded psp games on your psp D:?

I downloaded a game for my psp and extracted it and everything. It came out to be a folder called “PSP-game” and inside where some other stuff iv never seen like “UMD-DATA” file or sumtin like that, well yea, i dunno wat i have to do D: Some say i have to downgrade to 1.50 (Current FW is latest) and then install some hombrew or custom firmware. Yea well im confused @_@ help clarify plz. Also, if i do have to downgrade, is it safe?

right, you need sony 1.5 or custom firmware. the umd data file is just a rip, you need to join them into an iso with UMDgen.
downgrading is as safe as updating. if you do it halfass youre going to have problems.
